There are so many things in our world that divide us from one another – politics, religion, distance, values, beliefs, and more. Sometimes it’s a matter of different life experiences, different cultural backgrounds, different education, different dreams and goals. Sometimes it seems easiest to stick with people who have similar beliefs, rather than deal with those who we disagree with. But if we only hang around people who are similar to us, we miss the richness of diversity others bring. But how do we engage with people who have such different views and lives? How do we relate to people and work for healing in this time of difference and division? How can we make a difference in the world when we don’t know where to start?
On Monday nights this month, we’re going to explore those questions in a study called “The Difference Course.” This course encourages us to “Be Curious, Be Present, and Reimagine” so we can cross divides, navigate disagreements, and pursue a just and flourishing world. Join us for 5 weeks, beginning January 12th, from 6:45-8:15pm.
